The COVERSTAR cover system can be easily added during the pool construction process for a beautiful integrated look. The classic rectangular pool has never looked better. Hundreds of design options are available.
The Coverstar cover system can be added to most freeform pools during construction. The cover slides through guides built into a step around the pool or mounted to the surface of the deck.
Fiberglass pools are durable, attractive and easy to maintain. The COVERSTAR safety cover system adds the perfect complement.
Fiberglass pools come in a variety of shapes and sizes and most can be covered by an automatic safety pool cover. The Coverstar cover system can be easily added during the pool construction process for an elegant look.
A COVERSTAR cover system can be recessed into the deck and covered with an attractive aluminum lid. The cover guides are mounted to the surface of the deck.
For existing pools, the Coverstar safety cover can be enclosed in a beautiful and functional bench. The bench can be made of redwood, aluminum or durable outdoor materials that compliment your backyard.
The stronger the cover, the safer the cover. No company builds in more exclusive design and manufacturing features to ensure the strength and performance of its automatic covers than Coverstar!
Ultra strong marine grade bracket components make COVERSTAR the most durable and reliable automatic safety cover on the market. Nothing stands up better in the harsh, corrosive pool environment. That’s why COVERSTAR mechanism warranties are among the best in the industry.
Our unique mechanism is engineered with heavy-duty components and with ropes and pulleys that are stronger and larger than any others used in the industry. The extreme precision of the machined and laser-cut parts allows for smooth operation and many, many years of hassle-free use.
The motor’s hardened stainless steel shaft and oil bathed gears eliminate motor problems. It is sealed against water by the original motor manufacturer. The motor can operate even when completely submerged if the housing is temporarily flooded. Other, less reliable means of motor protection could mean an expensive motor repair.
Adjustable Torque Limiter
A mechanical torque limiter protects the motorized mechanism from too much stress. Other automatic covers often us an electronic torque limiter that can fail in the harsh pool environment.
High Tech PowerFlex Ropes
PowerFlex Rope behaves like a shock absorber that allows it to be more forgiving and self adjusting during operation. It also resists distortion that is common with autocover ropes, making it easier to install and operate with fewer adjustments.
Keyed Safety Switch
The weather-proof toggle switch locks for secured access. In less than a minute your pool is opened or closed.
Heat-sealed webbing for double the strength!
Most automatic cover manufacturers sew webbing material wrapped
An automatic pool cover slides through aluminum guides on two sides of the pool. The Coverstar system for freeform pools can use several cover guide types and accessories for versatile system applications and pool design flexibility.
For a more integrated look, guides can be built directly into the pool wall using guide encapsulation.
The standard topguide is a low profile anodized aluminum extrusion (similar to a door threshold) that is mounted on top of the cement deck on both sides of the pool.
Horizontal Flushdeck Guide
This cover guide is embedded into and flush with the pool deck. The guide housing is set in place before the deck is poured to create a cavity that the cover guide is inserted and mounted into. The guide is finished with a trouble-free outdoor architectural grade paint that matches the standard flushdeck lid.
A popular way to cover a freeform pool is to create a rectangular step-up area around the pool. The “Pool-in-Pool” guide encapsulation option creates an attractive integrated look that makes the cover guide nearly invisible.
Optional Riser Base for Hiding the Leading Edge
Using an optional riser base, the guide encapsulation height can be raised to allow the cover’s leading edge to be inverted and hidden under a wider lid.
Fabric & Webbing
The Coverstar fabric is incredibly strong and durable. An advanced vinyl formulation and superior fabrication methods make it top of the line. No other automatic safety cover manufacturer offers all these exclusive features:
Specially formulated heavy-duty vinyl fabric utilizes extruded coating process and closed polyester weave for superior product performance.
- Ultraviolet Protection
- Chemical Resistance
- Mildew Resistance
- Fabric Strength (17 oz)
- Tear Resistance
- Abrasion Resistance
- Minimal fabric shrinkage (less than 1%)
- Exclusive Color-Match Heat-Sealed Webbing
- 9 standard colors (custom colors also available)
Color Matched Cover Webbing
Our exclusive color matched webbings are an aesthetically pleasing option and are even longer lasting than white webbing due to color pigments that reduce UV light exposure to the fabric.
Exclusive Heat Sealed Webbing
Most automatic safety pool cover manufacturers wrap webbing material around rope and sew it to the cover. Unfortunately, with this attachment method the webbings often fail before the fabric does. (see photo, far right). To solve this problem we invented and patented a process whereby the rope is replaced with a flexible polymer bead and the webbing is heat seal bonded to the cover fabric in one step. This patented process is a substantial improvement over the common webbing attachment method and provides substantially longer webbing life and improved operation of the cover.
Underguide systems are embedded in the pool wall or mounted to the bottom side of rectangular pools’ coping, allowing guides to remain virtually unnoticed. For a more integrated look, guides can be built directly into the pool wall using guide encapsulation.
Topguide systems can be used with most freeform pools. The cover’s drive system is installed under an aluminum lid or mounted to the surface of the deck.
Recessed guide systems feature aluminum guides that are recessed in the pool deck during the construction of the pool. The recessed guide is flush with the top of the deck.
